The Facts. The Truth. The Future of VillageWalk.
“A transformational business leader and seasoned human resources executive experienced in working with diverse groups to build high-performing teams.”
About Me
I chose to make VillageWalk my home ten years ago. Like most important decisions in my life, this was not impulsive—it was the result of years of thoughtful planning and looking for the right community where I could truly enjoy the next 20 years, and VillageWalk checked every box. I’m proud to call it home.
I’m a transformational leader by profession and by nature. I’ve spent more than 40 years honing my skills, building my career in human resources, supported by three degrees in the behavioral sciences, including a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. I’ve had the opportunity to serve in the highest executive-level roles and to work across a wide range of industries—from aerospace and chemical manufacturing to nutritional supplements to private prison systems and even body piercing and tattooing.
That breadth of experience has given me a unique perspective and the opportunity to work with diverse groups of people at every level of an organization. Along the way, I have become a subject-matter expert in aligning different operating cultures, leading change when needed and building high-performing teams that consistently achieve their personal best.
What I Stand For
For me, it’s all about the team. There is power in teamwork, and I aim to utilize each person's strengths to create win-win solutions for everyone involved.
The strongest teams are built on trust, collaboration, alignment, and communication. When people trust each other, they communicate openly and work more effectively. When all stakeholders have a voice, there is diversity in decision-making and problem-solving, which leads to better solutions. When everyone is aligned, progress happens faster. And when communication is clear, the environment stays healthy, respectful, and motivating. Good leaders are intentional about building these foundations—and that’s exactly the kind of leadership I will bring to this board.
My Vision for VillageWalk
Is simple: to protect the quality of life that brought all of us to VillageWalk in the first place—and to make sure it’s preserved for years to come.
That means:
Restarting the maintenance and preservation strategy the team put in place in 2022-2023 when I served on the board, with particular focus on protecting one of VillageWalk’s greatest assets—our beautiful landscaping and majestic oak trees
Making sure services like Xfinity, ADT and landscape maintenance remain competitive
Supporting our café and retail shops so they can continue serving our community
Appreciating and supporting the volunteers who generously give their time on committees
Offering programs and amenities that reflect VillageWalk’s multi-generational community
Upholding fiscal responsibility and accountability with transparency in budgeting, contracts, and governance to protect property values and preserve our community’s aesthetics
If you’re looking for a leader who values fairness, inclusion, collaboration, trust and transparency and prioritizes the long-term health, beauty, and value of our community, then you found your candidate. If elected, I will:
· Listen with empathy
· Be transparent and communicate openly
· Seek balanced, community-centered solutions
· Value diverse opinions to rebuild trust
· Strive to strengthen relationships between residents, the management company, and the Board.
